Working in Cambodia since 1991, Pact has built Cambodian civil society and strengthened the capacity of institutions run by and for Cambodians to end poverty and injustice. Our current and recent work includes improving local governance, fighting against corruption, building savings-led microfinance, providing health education, supporting community forestry and REDD+, and providing organizational development assessments and support to Cambodian organizations.
Pact Cambodia office is currently seeking an individual for the position of Volunteer Intern for Coming Together for Forest.
General

• Qualifications and requirements
• University degree or pursuit of degree in the field of forestry, environment, natural resources management, international development, social sciences, or any other related fields
• Knowledge on forest issues in Cambodia is an advantage
• Understanding of women’s empowerment and gender sensitivity is an advantage
• Understanding of resilient/climate change adaptation is an advantage
• Interest/experience in monitoring and evaluation and conducting qualitative and quantitative research is an advantage
• Interest/experience engaging with development issues in Cambodia or the Southeast Asia region is an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of spoken and written English language

It is preferred that the volunteer uses their experience at Pact for credit toward an academic degree.
