Introduction :

My Village (MVi) is a Cambodian non-profit-non-government-organization which was founded in November 2006. MVi is working in northeast provinces of Cambodia, particular in Mondulkiri, Kratie, and Stung Treng Province. The main MVi development endeavors is to promote Indigenous People rights to land, forestry; good governance and community empowerment in partnership through the development of network and community groups, building women network and supporting the community to improve their livelihood status.

MVi does not work on child sector. By the way, MVi has the child protection policy and all MVi staff must respect it and avoid from the child rights abuse.

Now, MVi is seeking the Cambodian national to fulfill its below positions.

Job Requirement :
  • University decree in community development, NRM, agriculture, or relevant field;
  • Two years working experiences in integrated community development, resource security and indigenous people’s rights
  • Knowledge of community organizing, natural resource management and rights, food security, income generation, saving group, community enterprise and business development;
  • Ability to drive Motorcycle and stay in the community;
  • Ability to prepare monthly, semester and annual report on the regular basis in Khmer/English;
  • Ability to plan, assign, coordinate, organize and prioritize work;
  • Potential management experiences of staff management and project management.
  • Proven skills in community participatory, managing training and facilitation, and advocacy.
  • Effective verbal, listening , communications facilitation skill and team building
  • A strong track record in open and transparent financial management
  • Good in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Khmer.
  • Good computer application skills.
  • Flexible and able to prioritize own workload, take initiative, work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong commitment to MVi’s vision, mission, goal and values, including commitment to promoting indigenous people rights, gender equity in all aspects of work.
Job Duties :
  • REPORTING LINES:
    • Post holder reports to Team Leader, associate with FAO for the finance and administration purpose.
    • Staff reporting to this post: Field Facilitators, BBDAs
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Program Operation and Management:
    • Provide technical support to Snuol program under the supervision of TL with support from the programs team.
    • Coordinate the programs implementation, provide guidance and lead the implementation of the programs staff.
    • Carry out the Climate Change project under the supervision of SNL – Team Leader with support from the programs team;
    • Provide technical support to CBO and subordinate staff for overall program implementation.
    • Compiling the both budget and programs-wide plan, reports (monthly, quarterly and annual) and ensure that these plans are implemented within the defined budget and timeframe.
    • Supervising expenditure, and forecasting future expenditure in relation to budgets in the program.
    • Assist to prepare the program report for TL in cooperation with other program team and program Coordinator.
    • Check and monitoring expend of the program staff, prior to the payment and obtain and file all required supporting documentation with the invoices.
    • Organize weekly programs team meeting to updated the program achievement and ensure the sustainability of the program.
    • Assist in project concept design and planning.
    • Participate in the monthly program office meeting, networking and other meeting as required.
  • Staff Capacity Building:
    • Assisting the program staff in their role of supporting communities to obtain their rights under Cambodian and international laws. There is also a direct role in passing on information to TL;
    • Focus on building the staff capacities of the unit within the subordinate staff. Indicators for success in this would be the ability of those key staff to fulfill their role and build capacity of others.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Maintain program information system and records;
    • Undertake field monitoring of project activities in the target areas;
    • Follow up and field monitoring the program implementation and ensure that the program outputs and outcome are achieved within the defined budget and timeframe.
  • Policy Implementation:
    • Ensure the implementation of official MVi policies and procedures.
  • Liaison and Networking:
    • Assist TL in representation, communication and dealing with other as required;
    • Assist consultants and visitors with interpreting during field visits and translation of documents, take minutes meetings and workshops as necessary;
    • Fully contribute to the running of training and workshops and other capacity-building activities
    • Keep informed of the general Cambodian development context with a special attention to issues of IP's Rights and Natural resources management, and its relations
