Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer 

Manages costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final completion figures.
Minimize costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
Involved in the project from the start, preparing estimates and costs of the work.
When the project is in progress, to keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports or charts to show profitability.

• Able to speak and write in English.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate from a reputable technical institute, industry certification or equivalent industry experience and knowledge.
• 4 to 5 years of experience performing quality control/quality assurance in the building construction industry.
• Knowledge and experience with processes and procedures of quality control/quality assurance for large scale projects.
• Experience working in commercial, retail & residential building construction industry preferred.

• Manages all quality assurance and quality control relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial starts to completion, testing/commissioning and final handover.
• Routinely under the direction of the Project Manager and in collaboration with team members, perform all QA/QC duties per company and client practices and procedures.
• Responsible for performing quality control inspections and audits of field work during construction and implementation phase to ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of work.
• Review quality of all materials at site and ensure compliance to project specifications and quality and collaborate with department for all material procurement and maintain quality of materials.
• Monitor all works to ensure correctness of construction/installation adherence to requirements and industry best practices. Assist team to ensure knowledge of all quality standards and ensure compliance to all quality manual and procedures and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain quality of all systems.
• Read and interpret technical documents (specifications, drawings, layouts, schematics) as they relate to field work to be completed or already completed.
• Ensure standards and procedures are followed to prevent and minimize disruption to project timeline. Analyse all products and non-conformance processes and evaluate all documents to ensure maintenance of optimal quality and prepare monthly reports to evaluate performance.
• Collaborate with team to problem solve and generate solutions to quality control problems. Manage all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards and monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for all processes.
• Responsible for updating manager on all progress reports and expedite any and all issues immediately that would interfere with the projects timeline. Monitor an efficient system and record for all project activities and analyse all processes to ensure all work according to quality requirements.
