Job Description :

Program Coordinator (Learning & Leadership)
The Program Coordinator works in the Learning & Leadership Program Team. This team manages the following activities:

  • Scholarships (for students)
  • Professional Development Training (for new professionals)
  • Living Arts Fellowships (for cultural leaders)
  • Internships & Work Placements

The Coordinators in the team share responsibility for coordinating these activities, supporting and mentoring artists and other program participants, delivering training, and designing activities that will nurture talented individuals in the arts and culture sector to fulfill their potential. 

All activities in the Learning & Leadership Programs aim to inspire artists and other cultural practitioners to be creative, curious, socially engaged and ambitious (for themselves and for the development of Cambodia).  

The Program Coordinators must monitor and evaluate the impact of the programs to ensure that we are providing top quality services, which are making a strategic impact on the development of arts and culture in Cambodia.  
The Program Coordinator is part of a wider team and is expected to provide support to his/her CLA colleagues as needed/ as directed by the Country Manager.

Job Requirement :
  • Training and facilitation skills
  • Coaching and mentoring experience
  • Passionate about learning
  • Curiosity and critical thinking skills
  • Fluent written and spoken Khmer
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Monitoring and evaluation skills
  • Interest and experience in the arts desirable
Job Duties :

Scholarships:

  • Mentoring and oversight of scholarship recipients
  • Planning and leading monthly community workshops for the scholarship recipients
  • Developing community between the scholarship recipients
  • Strategic development and continuous improvement of the scholarship program (including creation of an alumni association)
  • Coordinating the application and selection process
  • Promoting the program to a wide audience

Professional Development Trainings:

  • Delivering short courses/ trainings on professional skills that will help artists to build their careers
  • Designing the annual program of courses to be offered, according to the current needs of those working in the arts
  • Promoting the training opportunities to a wide audience
  • Continuous improvement and strategic development of the training program

Internships & Work Placements:

  • Overseeing and mentoring interns at CLA
  • Supporting students and artists to find work placements in other arts and culture organisations

General:

  • Monitoring and evaluation of programs
  • Promoting a culture of person-centred learning and development
  • Coaching and mentoring program participants
  • Supporting Development & Communications staff by sharing stories and achievements from the Learning & Leadership Programs
  • Supporting CLA’s strategic goal of developing our Learning & Leadership programs to become a regional centre of excellence within 5 years
  • Contributing ideas to planning and strategy sessions
  • Attendance at weekly team meetings and monthly staff meetings

  • Starting salary: Between USD$270 to USD$450
