At Aprati Foods, our shared purpose is to create Happy Consumer Experiences.  The primary way we create those happy experiences is through satisfying people when they eat the candy we make.  Quality finished goods result from a process of combining and transforming raw materials in standardized ways to produce predictable results.  The Finished Goods Coordinator provides resources and support to Finished Goods Operators, so that they can meet safety, sanitation, production, packaging, storage and shipping standards and goals. The Finished Goods Coordinator also helps improve the business by identifying safety, quality and efficiency problems and helping to solve those problems in collaboration with Management, Finished Goods Operators and other staff.  Repeated and persistent engagement in problem solving and experimentation leads to increased learning and development, the creation of business opportunities and the reduction of waste.  This role requires someone who can make decisions, following Aprati Foods’ principles of Honesty, Safety, Quality, Flexibility and Value.

Job Requirement :

Essential

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
  • 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in a factory environment
  • Experience using computers and doing data entry
  • Arithmetic skills, including percentages
  • Attention to detail
  • Willing to think about work and engage in problem identification and problem solving
  • Fluent in spoken and written Khmer; proficient in English to serve as a bridge between production and warehouse workers and non-Khmer speaking managers
  • Want to work in a factory that operates at international standards and contribute to achieving those standards every shift, every day

Desirable

  • Experience and proficiency working with equipment (for example, pallet jack and forklift)
  • Experience working in a food or beverage factory, using HACCP
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing
Job Duties :
  • Worker Safety and Food Safety Program Execution that meets and preferably exceeds governmental, international and corporate standards, in accordance with direction from management and using their own experience. The emphasis is on creating a safe, orderly environment and preventing accidents.
    • Identifies potential hazards to any workers or visitors in the facility and remedy those hazards to create a safe environment for everyone.
    • Supports Finished Goods Operators, Warehouse Workers and other Production Workers in working safely at all times; supervise workers and visitors to ensure that they are behaving safely and provide correction and training when they are behaving unsafely; document and report unsafe behavior to Finished Goods Manager or other Management.
    • Ensures that Finished Goods Operators, Warehouse Workers and other production workers are qualified to do the tasks they are performing.
    • Alerts Engineering and Maintenance Department immediately when equipment is defective or unsafe, including simple items like broken lights or leaky faucets and major items like broken production equipment that will not function properly.
    • Trains staff in the operation of various equipment, including forklift, barrel porter, etc.
    • Generates worker accident report every day.
    • Supervises and corrects all workers and visitors in hygiene and sanitation; ensures that all workers and visitors have access to clean uniforms and footwear.
    • Maintains organization and cleanliness in the Factory Building, Utilities Area and grounds; identify unsanitary or disorganized conditions and remedy them immediately.
    • Provides honest and helpful assistance with government inspections of company facilities and products.
    • Supports the company’s Food Safety Program.
    • Raises alarm with Finished Goods Manager, Knowledge Creation Manager or other Management, if Food Safety Standards are not being met (requires someone with strong ethics who will stand up for the Right Thing to Do).
    • Ensures compliance with all government regulations that apply to running a factory and producing safe, quality products.
    • Quality and Productivity Execution to meet the company’s goals and consistently create happy consumer experiences. The Finished Goods Coordinator runs experiments to help solve problems, discover better ways to perform activities and help the business improve.
      • Guides the startup and shutdown of the shift, including emergency shutdown and restart in the event of a power outage or other major equipment failure.
      • Prioritizes Quality as a key principle of the business.
      • Supervises and supports Finished Goods Operators in consistently producing safe and quality products.
      • Works with staff to track quality and productivity results every hour.
      • Engages staff in identifying and solving problems together.
      • Identifies quality and productivity gaps and helps staff understand the root cause of the problem and works with staff on ways to improve.
      • Coordinates experiments in production; track the results; present recommendations for how the business can improve.
      • Collaborates with Engineering & Maintenance Department to get more and better product out of the equipment.
    • Stock and Demand Management that allows the business to fulfill customer orders on time with a minimum of inventory.
      • Inputs data into computerized inventory system for both raw materials and finished goods or supervise others in doing this.
      • Quality checks pallet location system to know where every pallet of raw materials, WIP or finished goods is in the Warehouse at all times.
      • Conducts periodic inventory survey to check inventory numbers, reports deviations and confirms that first in first out (FIFO) system is being followed.
      • Coordinates inputs from Demand Generation to assist in developing daily production schedule.
      • Collaborates with Finance & Administration in inventory accounting of all raw materials and finished goods.
    • Receiving and Shipping of Goods to ensure that the company is receiving the correct raw materials in the right amounts and that the correct goods are being shipped to the right customers at the right time.
      • Inspects incoming raw materials to ensure they match the Bill of Lading or supervises Warehouse staff performing this activity; collaborates with the Food Technologist to make sure that all incoming goods undergo the proper quality inspections.
      • Processes Bills of Lading and related paperwork per procedure.
      • Supervises the placement of raw materials, WIP and finished goods in appropriate locations.
      • Quality checks that outbound trucks are loaded with the correct items and processes shipping paperwork per procedure or supervises the processing of this paperwork.
    • Job Sheets, Checklists and Control Boards are accurate and up to date, providing guidance as well as feedback into the business that helps us improve in the future.
      • Creates visual job instruction sheets to provide step-by-step instruction on how to conduct work activities to achieve the standard(s).
      • Generate checklists to help Finished Goods Operators and Warehouse Staff make sure that all tasks are completed and completed correctly.
      • Updates control boards with information to provide feedback to the team to help everyone learn about successes and opportunities for improvement.
    • Staff Relations and Staff Coordination to ensure that the facility runs smoothly and achieves goals.
      • Collaborates with Human Resources and Finished Goods Manager on employee relations issues involving Finished Goods Operators, Warehouse Staff and other production workers.
      • Communicates with any shop stewards to understand their issues in conjunction with Human Resources.
      • Ensures that sufficient Production and Warehouse Staff is available to produce and ship product; review and approve or reject timesheets; approve or deny annual leave; distribute staff schedule; minimize staff being late or no shows.
      • Assigns individual staff to workstations and rotates staff as appropriate.
