|
-
4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree in relevant field preferred (e.g., human and/or labor rights, public policy, international affairs, international development, not-for-profit management, business, etc.).
-
5+ years of experience in a corporate responsibility, NGO, or another stakeholder-related role.
-
Strong passion for human rights and/or environmental issues.
-
Understanding of the key players, objectives and politics among actors in international human rights and labor issues.
-
Knowledge of international human rights and labor standards & the challenges to their implementation.
-
An understanding of the role the private sector plays in development and in how companies have responded to endemic labor rights violations through comprehensive CSR programs.
-
An understanding of economic, political, social and environmental issues related to the retail industry.
-
Ability to represent Gap Inc. and S&ER interests in politically sensitive environments and make decisions about how to execute strategies with external organizations.
-
Skilled at negotiating successfully in tough situations, leading groups to common ground and winning concessions without damaging relationships or compromising total position.

Demonstrated ability to gather intelligence from multiple internal and external sources and identify strategies to achieve desired outcomes, including argument development, coalition building, etc.

Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesizing information to inform policy, strategy and decision-making.

Ability to figure out the processes necessary to advance innovative and sometimes controversial ideas.

Capable of handling crises in a calm and measured manner.

Strong project management and problem-solving skills, ability to effectively juggle multiple projects at one time.

Superb writing skills, with an emphasis on tone and style strongly preferred.

Proficiency in one or more foreign languages strongly preferred.

Experience bringing together stakeholders with diverse viewpoints and reaching consensus on strategy/actions.

Experience working with other cultures in developing countries and in developing and implementing projects.

Multicultural and Multilingual abilities preferred.

Ability to travel, including internationally, on short notice.

Ability to work with business partners in different time zones.

Job Duties :
|
|

Manage the development and execution of the stakeholder engagement strategy for the SEA Region.
-
Develop and maintain knowledge of stakeholder networks and priority issues.
-
Identify and manage stakeholder relationships/projects that strengthen relationships and support S&ER objectives.
-
Leverage global stakeholder relationships to identify and develop the capacity of key regional and national groups.
-
Maintain global trend knowledge in international labor rights and enforcement mechanisms, sustainability, and corporate responsibility.
-
Help to identify, prioritize, and develop policies and strategies for human rights and environmental issues affecting Gap Inc. in the SEA region.
-
Manage communications on stakeholder-related issues internally and externally (includes writing/public speaking).
-
Influence and constructively engage internal business partners to achieve stakeholder engagement strategies.
-
Identify, develop and manage necessary administrative infrastructure (e.g., stakeholder database).
