Room to Read is non-governmental, non-religious and work with many local NGOs and community based organizations to implement our programs. We currently work in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Laos, Nepal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Vietnam, and Zambia. Due to program expansion, we are now looking for qualified national candidates to fill in the following position below:
Position overview:
The Literacy Program Operations Officer (“LPOO”) leads the strategic and tactical execution for all work related to implementing Room to Read’s Literacy program at the field level for a set of schools. The LPOO serves as the main point of contact for school leaders and coordinates the work of other RtR and Partner staff at schools in their jurisdiction. The position reports to Provincial Coordinator.

Job Requirement :

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or other related fields
-
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience
-
At least a working knowledge and understanding of project management methodology and software
-
Strong planning, budgetary, supervising, and project implementation skills
-
Ability to travel regularly to project sites and Province or District offices
-
Good English verbal and written communication skills
-
Preferred
-
Master’s degree in Business, Management, or other related field
-
Prior experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented global or regional organization
-
Experience working in community development projects in rural communities
-
Prior experience working with schools, teachers, administrators and government officials

Job Duties :
|
|
Program Management, Implementation, Monitoring and Coordination
-
Responsible for managing the ongoing implementation of the Literacy program for a set of schools, ensuring timely, efficient and well-coordinated implementation of all activities.

Serves as the primary person responsible for the project management of Literacy program implementation and fostering and monitoring relationships with schools, communities, District Education Office and partner NGOs.

Ensures that all activities planned have been carried out with quality.

Responsible for Global Solution Database (GSD) for Literacy Program.
Planning, Reporting and Documentation
-
Supports the development of the annual plan and budget for the assigned geographical area in line with the guidance provided by the Global Office (GO).

Supports the review of the progress of implementation calendar, budget, annual plan, periodic program review, and overall tracking of program implementation and spending.
