We are looking for qualified candidates (2 positions) to join our dedicated and dynamic institution.

• B.S./B.A. (computer science degree preferred).
• 4+ years progressive, hands-on development success.
• Strong Linux skills.
• Knowledge of and experience with VPN and wireless networking
• Ability to provide support and technical assistance to users
• Technical project planning, communication, and written documentation skills
• Ability to work closely with other I.T. staff
• Ability to work flexible hours, as needed.
• Routed protocols such as IPv4 and IPv6
• Basic routing skills
• RADIUS and TACACS
• TCP/IP networking

• Designs, installs, configures, and maintains Linux based operating system servers.
• Performs software installations and upgrades to hardware and operating system software; maintains in accordance with established information technology policies and procedures.
• Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
• Ensures media management through internal methods and procedures and use of offsite storage and retrieval services.
• Resolves complex procedural, operational, and technical problems.
• Recommends and ensures the security of the infrastructure hardware and operating system software.
• Consult with departmental faculty and staff to provide solutions to a variety of software and hardware problems.
• Advise faculty and staff about common departmental software, including office productivity applications, email and calendaring clients, and security-related applications.
• Develop internal and external documentation.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
