|
-
Proven track record of promoting a position Health and Safety culture and improved Health and Safety performance;
-
Proven track record of developing and maintaining procedures and system for investigating, reporting and analyzing, risk, accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences;
-
Experience or clear knowledge and understanding of undertaking health and safety audit, inspections or reviews;
-
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of primary health and safety legislation, regulations and code of practice pertaining construction;
-
Ability to build and facilitate strong working relationships with management, employees and contractors at all levels;
-
Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to meet the requirement of the job. Including attending site out of hours and a short notice to investigate dangerous occurrences etc;
-
Well-developed supervisory skills;
-
Developing presentation skills.

Job Duties :
|
|
|
-
Monitor the execution of contraction activities throughout the project to ensure work is carried out according to project safety plan, task specific method statement and in full compliance with safety standards;
-
Development, implement and maintain and effective program and ensure compliance to satisfy the requirement of local safety and environmental legislation;
-
Identify safety training needs, organize and co-ordinate safety training courses and prepare training material where appropriate,
-
Identify unsafety training acts, conditions, and hazards;
-
Investigate root courses and identify corrective and preventative action and report to management;
-
Drawing up safe operation procedures;
-
Prepare health and safety report and statistical/ data and present report to Project Manager;
-
To collate and analyze accident statistics and recommend intervention strategies: to eliminate/ reduce the risk of future occurrences and incidents of ill health and lost working day;
-
Receive and review project Method Statement to ensure complete understanding of requirement;
-
Undertaking risk assessments identifying potential hazards and determining ways of reducing risks;
-
Making recommendations following accidents/incidents;
-
Liaising with relevant authorities;
-
Ensure that own work practice and those of colleagues, are compliant with company policy and procedure.
