SOS Children’s Villages of Cambodia is an independent Social development organization, the member of SOS Children’s Villages International which is active in 134 countries. It provides long-term care in a family environment to orphaned and destitute children and supports local community through child care, educational, social and medical program. We are currently seeking one qualified candidate to fill the position below.

JOB PURPOSE

A critical and important role of this post will be to represent the Academy and its constituent professional bodies in broader multi professional education, training and regulatory strategic discussions and initiatives.

• Educated to Master’s degree level or equivalent experiential knowledge and learning.
• At least 3 years progressively responsible professional work experience in a senior position within an NGO/government.
• Significant experience in a sector related to education and training
• Significant experience, in a lead role, in the development and successful implementation of key organizational strategies in relevant functional areas.
• Strong corporate ethos and effective team member, able to achieve an appropriate balance between Education, Training and Regulation interests and organization-wide interests.
• Resilient and able to work under pressure.
• Knowledgeable about national policy in education particularly related to education and training.

• Defining, implementing and reviewing HG Schools wide education standards (MoE and SOS Education policies)
• Leading and contributing to the development and ongoing review of national curricula for all levels of education of HG Schools.
• Developing and implementing a flexible but robust quality assurance model across the various HGS education programmes.
• Working with partner organizations and government bodies in the provision and quality monitoring of education across HG Schools in Cambodia.
• Conduct and support to program evaluation to determine whether program are being administered properly and efficiently
• Analyze and interpret the legislative or legal change from MoE, and PDoE which affect fiscal operation of HG school projects.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible, instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations in one or more subjects, prepare, administer grade test, and assignment to evaluate student’s progress.
