We are recruiting 1 smart and dedicated self–starter to coordinate, facilitate and manage the delivery of our TB program in Kep Operational District (OD) to improve early access, diagnosis and treatment of TB care. You should have experience working or living in Kep. 

Duration

Minimum 3 year commitment, full-time job, with a two-month probation period.

Organization Description

Operation ASHA is an NGO that delivers healthcare services to the disadvantaged in the community, with a particular focus on detecting, managing and treating Tuberculosis (TB). We have operations in India and Cambodia, and our care model has been replicated in parts of Africa as well.

In Cambodia, we work closely with the National Tuberculosis Program in 5 Operational Districts, in Phnom Penh and Takeo province serving 7.5% of the population. Since 2015 we have expanded to 11 more Operational Districts.

Job Requirement :
  • Three years of prior experience in health care sector, preferably on communicable diseases
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent Khmer and English language skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to work and troubleshoot issues independently
  • Strong team player
  • Good analytical skills
  • Keen to positively impact people’s lives through the work that you do
Job Duties :
  • The Operational District Coordinator is key to ensuring the smooth delivery of TB services (from cough to cure) in their Operational District. The successful candidate is excellent at building working relationship with multiple stakeholders in a short time (i.e. public health care staff, patients, volunteers, NGOs, private pharmacies and the local community) and can work independently to troubleshoot issues to get the program moving.
  • The Operational District Coordinator will facilitate the following:-
  • Ensure smooth patient pathways for TB Detection, Diagnostics, Treatment and Counseling
  • Coordinate across public (i.e. health posts, centres, referral hospitals etc) and private healthcare entities (i.e. pharmacies etc) and the community (Volunteer Health Support Groups, Health Centre Management Committees etc) to facilitate smooth patient pathways including liaising with public officials at Provincial and Operational District levels
  • Work with stakeholders to review and conduct training and awareness building program in the community to increase knowledge and detection of Tuberculosis through enhanced case finding approach
  • Develop and implement community-based transport of TB symptomatics in the community to access public health care facilities and for community volunteers to support C-DOTs and reporting within their communities.
  • Develop and implement fast-track mechanism to send TB specimens/symptomatics for testing at public health care facilities
  • Conduct supervision, onsite training by NGOs to HCs, MDR, prisons, pharmacies
  • Conduct regular data analysis to inform program strategy and implementation
  • Undertake regular reporting of key performance indicators within the team and Head Office
  • Represent of Op-ASHA at key meetings with the Government or relevant stakeholders
  • Additional task as assigned
