We are looking for an assistant program manager to head the starting up operations for Backstreet Academy. This job will be a very exciting and fun job where you get to meet a lot of people (craftsmen, entrepreneurs, NGOs, facilitators, hotels, restaurants) You will be developing relationships with all these partners and subsequently handling the expansion of the team in Cambodia with the opportunity to rise up to become the Country Director. The team will also be expanded in time with you as the lead.
This job is very fulfilling as you will get to see the social impact you can make on the local people. The perfect blend of social impact and business success is something very very few organizations have as a model in developing countries. We believe social impact and profits can go hand in hand and we think this should be the way to go in developing a nation for sustainability. There are many NGOs in Cambodia, and we are not one of them. We are a business, and we will be run like one, but with the sole mission of alleviating poverty through social entrepreneurship.
Remuneration will be competitive with 3 phases. Probation period, stable and then results driven. The probation period of 2 months will be for you to see if this is the kind of job you like and if you are up to the challenge of setting up a completely new branch operation here in Cambodia. In the stable period you will receive a fixed salary, and in the results driven period you will receive bonuses based on your performance and the company’s local performance as well.
