NIRAS is now pursuing with the opportunity for an ADB –funded regional project: Implementing the GMS Core Agriculture Support Program Phase II (CASP II).

2. Agricultural Information, Statistics and Applied Tools Expert
Scope of Assignment:
The consultant shall work as part of the regional information service team and will support the development of the GMS regional information service and AINS. The position will support the GIS, Statistics and MIS roles in developing a wider basis for both agricultural data and decision support tools for agriculture and environment. S/he will work within a team environment to ensure data collation and indicator development within the GMS online web portal and developing approaches to sharing and applying data for policy analysis, investment feasibility, benchmarking and for supporting decision support tools. The consultant will work closely with both technical contractors and national country level staff and NSSUs/NSSs to ensure a comprehensive data system is built from existing data sources and data systems are developed to support the CASP technical programs and their future upscaling or institutionalization.
Assignment Duration: 18 months (exact length to be determined)
Anticipated Project Start Date: April-May 2016
Project Location: Phnom Penh Cambodia, with travel to provinces as required
