Chamroeun is a leading Cambodian social microfinance institution working to achieve positive and lasting changes in the livelihoods of economically active poor families by providing a wide range of responsible microfinance and complementary socio-economic services. As of today, Chamroeun is standing in grade 9th among all microfinance institutions in Cambodia in terms of active borrowers with widely 35 service point’s in15 provinces/town across the country.

Chamroeun is currently seeking for qualified candidates for the vacancy positions as below:

Position: WASH Financing Coordinator and Senior Research Officer 
Reporting to: Head of Marketing and Communication
Location: Head Office

Job Requirement :
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics, Rural Development or related fields
  • Have at least 2 to 3 years in Microfinance mainly involved in operations and business development
  • Knowledge in engineering, construction in WASH or at a minimum a desire to learn in the area of WASH
  • Be high proficiency in English: listening, speaking, reading, and writing
  • Be a Cambodian citizen and have a good background, high integrity, accountability, and commitment, and strongly passion towards working with the poor and social mission;
  • Knowledge of MS office, MS Outlook
  • Have a good interpersonal and communication skill, team work, independent, and result-oriented;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complexities as per a number of different projects will be implemented at the same time;
  • Has the ability to work in team or alone, able to achieve targets;
  • Be high integrity, accountability, and commitment, and strongly passion towards with the poor and social mission;
  • Align with Chamroeun’s vision, mission, code of conducts, code of ethics, and social business charter;
  • Be a Cambodia citizen and have a good background and have high compassion to work with the vulnerable poor;
  • Be respectful, honest, responsible, accountable, creative, innovative, initiative, and professional with high integrity
  • Be willing to travel to other branches and provinces when required.
Job Duties :
  • Coordinate with internal MFI departments such as finance, operations, MIS, marketing, senior management, provincial/branch offices, and other teams to ensure successful implementation of Water Credit program activities and development of WASH loan program;
  • Mitigate internal risks by immediate notification to the MFI leadership and other team members in the event of challenges;
  • Manage and ensure support and partnership with the WASH suppliers and construction partners;
  • Provide feedbacks to internal staff based on field visits and monitoring, including onsite visits and interviews with borrowers, loan officers, branch management team, and support staff;
  • Coordinate WASH financing supplemental trainings as needed;
  • Coordinate the development of WASH loan marketing strategy, plan, and materials;
  • Support the development of hygiene promotion in collaboration with SPM team and others;
  • Work closely with finance team to attract new capital sources for WASH loans;
  • Coordinate with other WASH stakeholders, such as PDAM, Local Health Department, Local Public Work Department, Community Health Center, BPSPAMS, and others;
  • Ensure adequate training for loan officers, branch management team, and support staff on new WASH loan products;
  • Coordinate with Water.org, including regular reporting and on-going communications;
  • Report to the MFI leadership about WASH financing program activities regularly;
  • Manage the grant fund based on the activities budget and control the use of grant to avoid overspending;
  • Oversee the development and submission of monthly and quarterly reports to Water.org;
  • Manage upload of monthly loan data to the Water.org portal website;
  • Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor.
