ORGANIZATION MISSION AND OVERVIEW:
Temple Garden Foundation (TGF) is an international NGO founded in 2008 with the primary objective of helping communities realize their full development potential. To achieve this objective TGF and communities decide together the best development activities to work on, and then together develop plans for implementation of the activities. Typically communities will be full, active partners in each project, sharing management and funding responsibilities with TGF. TGF currently works in 5 communes in the Chi Kraeng District of Siem Reap Province with programmes in Infrastructure, Children’s Education, Health, and Income Generation. TGF is seeking a Cambodian national to fill the position of Health Program’s coordinator.

Location: Kampong Kdei (Transport provided from Siem Reap return Monday – Friday)
Reports to: Health Program Manager
Contract: Full time (Monday-Friday)

Job Requirement :

  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills in both English and Khmer
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to consult negotiate and liaise effectively with a broad range of people.

  • Academic Qualifications
  • Degree in Nursing or equivalent medical qualification
  • Technical Skills
  • Good skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and internet
  • Previous experience in community health field
  • Previous experience in community development/community mobilization
  • Ability to work independently as well a working as part of a team
  • Previous experience in rural project implementation
  • Desirable
  • Previous experience in facilitating community groups
  • Previous experience delivering community based training
Job Duties :
  • Represent the goals, strategies and principles of Temple Garden Foundation in all interactions while at work, especially interaction with government officials, donors or potential donors and with other non- government organizations;
  • Welcome and assist guests visiting TGF projects;
  • Assist the Program Manager and TGF Country Director to plan future projects and develop solutions for problems occurring on projects;
  • Coordinate the program field activities, programs and projects with support from of the Program Manager, including organizing villagers to participate in projects and scheduling experts to work in communities on projects as necessary;
  • Assist the Program Manager to conduct interviews, surveys and mapping in communities and submit information collected to the Program Manager as requested and on time;
  • Mange the technical budget for assigned projects, ensuring funds are used efficiently and effectively;
  • Keep accurate records of expenditures and receipts for all TGF expenses and submit to the Business Manager on the date requested;
  • Develop weekly activities schedule for program activities in the field and report to Program Manager and Country Director
  • Keep accurate program data and statistics and submit to the Program Manager for inclusion in monthly program report;
  • Attend Commune Council Meetings and any other Government meetings as requested by the Program Manager.
  • Be a proactive member of the Health Program and TGF team, ensuring cross area efficiencies are used where available
  • Help to drive the positive image of TGF within the community;
  • Provide information from surveying, mapping, interviews and meetings to the Country Director and Program Manager;
  • Develop first draft operational plans and budgets for review by Program Manager;
  • Organize and coordinate M & E activities as directed by the Program Manager including the preparation of reports for review by the Program Manager;
  • Maintain good relations with government leaders at the local, District, Provincial and National level as necessary;
  • Maintain good relations with partner NGOs and local businesses;
  • Develop and maintain strong and close relationships with local villages in target area through meetings and other events;
  • Assist the Program Manager to organize and deliver training and workshops;
  • Assist in any additional functions as designated.
